Jason Kopping
Solutions Development ManagerHow are you today?
With great risk, comes great reward. For me, this looks like taking a motorcycle ride across the country with nothing but the clothes on my back and a small pack strapped to my Kawasaki. There is a vulnerability involved in being alone on the road and forced to be present and focused, but the reward is great. The same approach applies in business. In order to achieve, to push past comfort zones and effect positive change you have to take the first step. You have to put your helmet on.

Rachel Downs
Business and Community Engagement ManagerHi Friends! After living a few years out of state, the return home has been such a warm welcome. Yuba County has so many hidden treasures that I enjoy, whether that is dining in historic downtown Marysville, hiking the Bullard’s Bar Trail with my two dogs or perusing the local farmer’s markets to stock up on olive oil and handmade soaps; products essentially grown by my neighbors! The local agriculture is so bountiful here. My goal is to be an advocate for this region while I continue to be in awe over how much opportunity there is in the Yuba County region for growth and prosperity.

Melanie Marquez
Organizational Excellence CoordinatorHi, Hola, Bonjour, Konnichiwa, Howdy!
I’m a champion for knowledge sharing. My goal is to see everyone around me succeed, including our local businesses. My family has deep roots in the local Yuba-Sutter area, and I have a heart for travel! Whether it is a weekend road trip, or an international destination, you can bet I’m out meeting people, making friends, and trying new things. I am bilingual in Spanish and enjoy communicating with those from the Latino community. I also speak Japanese, and jump at any opportunity I can get to use it!

Kassi Rasmussen
County Resilience CoordinatorHello, thanks for stopping by!
I became an English major in college because I loved to read. Short stories are my favorite because they require the author to accomplish so much in such little time and space; plot, character development, engaging the reader. But, when I am not reading short stories, I am reading the room, reading expressions and engaging with people in our community. Sometimes a few minutes spent listening to someone’s story can make the biggest difference!
