Will I be notified if an employee tests positive for COVID-19?
When a resident of Yuba or Sutter Counties tests positive for COVID-19, they are asked to provide a list of all “close contacts” during their infectious period, which is defined as two days prior to becoming symptomatic. A close contact is defined as people they interacted with for more than 15 minutes within six feet, regardless of the use of facial coverings. The bi-county Department Operations Center (DOC) will attempt to notify each close contact that they were potentially exposed. If an employee notes that he or she was at work during the infectious period, the DOC will endeavor to contact the employer to complete a robust contact investigation for the safety of other employees.
